BCTV Program director’s Report
May 17, 2007

Equipment and Facilities:
We have been relying more and more upon our server, and are discovering the virtues of its capabilities. We may need to purchase an additional hard drive as we add programming into the server. We did have a 4 hour power interruption which occurred during a rare out of state trip by me, and our programming was disrupted for 3 days. I am training Nancy our office manager to be able to deal with technical problems, but She had not been trained at the time of the outage. We also had a computer malfunction which required a $40 repair.
We continue to acquire more programs, and we have a pretty strong lineup. Some of the new local programs we have run included a presentation on a community owned department store, a hearing on retail development for Belfast, a tango demonstration. This is fortunate, as our community bulletin board person has decided to give that up. We will need to determine how we wish to fill up the time that was formerly used for the bulletin board. Presently we are running “Classic Arts Showcase” off the satellite.

I gave a presentation about our station to the Belfast Rotary Club and had a few people approach me about possible programs they might produce. We have also been contacted by other groups about submitting programs. We have produced numerous scenic local station ID’s which run between programs, so the station is looking nice.
