BCTV-2 Program Director’s Report, October 18, 2007

Equipment and Facilities: All equipment and facilities are working well.
Our monthly utility bill was $91 for electricity and $13 for dish network.
Programming: We are now regularly showing a 1 hour block of Link programs, DW Journal and Mosaic. We are also showing “Explore Specials” which are documentaries provided to us by Link TV which are about international and national issues that seem well done and don’t seem to promote a particular political agenda. A new monthly program produced by Knox-Waldo Regional Economic Development Council is going to begin airing the first week in November. It's entitled KWRED-TV. I look forward to seeing the first episode.
Our weekly schedule is now being carried in the Village Soup Citizen.
The Journal and Independent have said they will begin carrying the schedule as well.
We have been showing a short documentary produced by Mayoral candidate, Michael Shell entitled "Land of the Midnight Sun". It does not include Michael or espouse a particular political agenda, so I did not judge it to be a political campaign video. It was more a profile of senior citizens. Michael is encouraging people to watch the documentary as part of his campaign.
We are also showing the 2007 Pie & Story Festival, numerous Belfast High School sporting events (both girls and boys), and a new season of Vaudeville revue shows. Both Vaudeville and The Mark and Tim Show are now being shown on various other public access stations around the state. Belfast is gaining a reputation for producing local shows, Not a bad thing.
